That wasn’t a marketing line. It’s happened.

By mid-June, when most farms are buttoned up or idling, like I thought I would be, we noticed something strange: our medium-heat pepper plants were pushing out new shoots. Not just leaves. Blossoms. Then — fruit.
Some of the super-hots backed off, sure. But the rest? They were just getting started.
And at the centre of it all? A new variety we developed right here in the Eastern Cape: the Arssonist F3 — a cross between a Maruga Purple and a Ghost Pepper. This thing is flowering through the dead of winter, along with its cloned and seeded offspring, scattered across the beds like little fire beacons in the cold.
We didn’t plan for it. But we did plan for everything else. Just in case😉
It Starts Below the Surface
Before the first TNT Pepper seedling went in, we’d been working the soil for over two years. No shortcuts. No chemicals. Just natural composts, companion planting, and time — building up a biome that could support real food, not factory heat.
That’s what we think made the difference.
Instead of pushing through fertilisers and praying for growth, we set the conditions for plants to decide when they wanted to produce. And now, they’re doing it in the middle of a South African winter.
Most growers harvest once a year. We might get four or five flushes from our beds this year. This isn’t normal — and that’s exactly why it matters. We can produce and brine all year round.
We believe in sustainable and natural systems to govern our farming methods. It takes time and commitment. There’s a certain satisfaction producing beautiful peppers. I imagine the same as making a beautiful sauce. Peppers are versatile and come in an infinite variety. We glad the hard work paid off here on the farm. We hope to partner with you on your road to creating unique and flavourful sauces. We done the one half. The rest is now up to you.
What This Means for You
If you’re making hot sauces, relishes, marinades, or fermented blends, you already know the pain of seasonal supply gaps. You’re forced to freeze stock, shift recipes, or settle for inconsistent imports.
Not with us.
Thanks to our methods and our microclimate, we’re positioned to:
- Harvest all year
- Deliver brined peppers when others can’t
- Maintain flavour and heat consistency across batches
This is what we mean when we say “from soil to sauce.” It’s an investment in time, patience and craft. From before the seed’s inception to your sauce. We have planned for this, so you don’t have to.
